It’s easier than ever for Filipinos to apply for Japanese tourist visa. Anyone who applied with proper documents is almost guaranteed entry. And all those who have previously been to Japan is granted 5 years visa. But this year there’s an additional form to fill up to request for multiple visa, so don’t forget
Japan Visa Application Procedure
Since July 30, 2007, Japan tourist visa application can only be made through an accredited travel agencies by the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines. The travel agency will check your requirements before submitting them on your behalf. This is actually more efficient because it saves a lot of time for both the applicant and the embassy. However, time is money, so while the Japan visa remains free, the travel agencies will be charging processing fee. It varies per agency

Hi! I just submitted my application and the documents but i think one of the NSO birth certs there was late registration and we didnt submit the additional 2 req’ts because we thought it wasnt considered late registration anymore.
Do you think the jap embassy would automatically deny it?? Or will they ask you first to submit the missing documents?
Hello. Can I apply for a tourist visa with ITR from my previous job? I am currently unemployed but planning to apply for a visa.
Its okay if you don’t have a job. You don’t have to put ITR if you don’t have a job. As long as you sufficient funds in your bak account. Went there last year, I I only submitted my bank cert, nso, application form, passport and tour itinerary. Naapproved naman agad kinabukasan.
Hi. U mentioned u did not submit an itr. Did u put employed or unemployed in your application? Problem ko din kasi ang itr. Thank you.
Hi Jen. I spoke to a travel agent from friendship tours yesterday and I was told that if I can’t submit an ITR, i have to make an explanation letter as an alternative document for the ITR
Hi! (Kindly disregard my previous comment)
Me and my friend are planning to visit Japan for 7 days in March 2017. It will be our first time to go overseas and we do not want to get a package tour because we will be meeting our friends from Indonesia who also will visit Japan. Will that be okay? We are planning to make a detailed itinerary of our 7-day schedule and I am wondering if that’s okay. If we won’t have any problem in the approval of the visa. I look forward into your reply. Thank you.
Hi, that’s ok… I wrote my own itinerary and they wont ask you anyway. visa approved :)
Hi!
Me and my friend are planning to visit Japan for 7 days in March 2017. It will be our first time to go overseas. May I ask how to get a Bank Certificate? Me and my friend both have bank accounts but we dunno how to get BC. I hope you can help us. Thanks!
Go to your respective bank branch and request for your bank statement or bank certificate… i think there’s a minimal fee upon requesting bc
Hi Wanderlass! I am a public school teacher since July, 2015 but I’ve been a preschool teacher for almost 5 years. Yung ITR 2015 na pinasa ko po is mejo mababa ung nakalagay dun since July, 2015 ako nagstart magwork sa public at yun lang po ung naipasa ko sa agency. Pero ang savings ko naman po ay nasa P150,000 naman po. We already booked our roundtrip tickets and accommodations. Nagpasa rin po ako ng COE, Clearance from the principal since hindi pa napipirmahan ung travel order ko. Dapat po ba pinasa ko rin ung ITR 2014&2015 ko from my previous company. Thank you.
Hi all! My brother just got approved with his visa application today after 7-working days. Since he is only doing freelance work (photographer) and not really earning from it and no ITR to provide, I have to submit documents to show that I will support him with all the expenses while in Japan. I did not have to apply for a visa since I hold an Australian passport (I have dual citizenship Aus/Fil) but I submitted my ITR and bank certificate plus Affidavit of Support and other pertinent papers to increase my brother’s chance. In his lack of providing an ITR, the travel agent suggested him to write a letter of explanation and there, he stated that he wanted to visit Japan so he can take photos of the amazing and beautiful places in Japan. I think apart from the assurance of financial support from me, expressing admiration of a country like Japan will guarantee you visa. I read somewhere where one who is unemployed got a visa because she stated she is into Anime and Japanese fashion. Thank God, the long wait and anxiety is over. We are heading off to Osaka next week. Thank you for this blog too :)
Hi, it’s been 10 working days since we submitted our no-guarantor tourist visa application to a travel agency and I’ve been told by the travel agency that it’s still being process :(. I was granted a visa before when I was given the chance to participate in the JENESYS program so I really thought that it will take me less than a week to get my visa. I also read blogs saying it only takes about 3-7 working days to process a japanese visa.
Our flight is in 2 weeks so I’m feeling restless. Do you think the embassy is just overwhelmed by the number of applicants given that it is spring or they just found a fault in our applications? Would really appreciate your thoughts
Hello wanderlass,
Thank you.
It is is below 3 months that would be problem, but if more than 5 months, maybe they would let you pass. But this is just my thinking, I’m not Japan immigration control so I can’t say for sure.
Ilang months po kaya ang required for new passport holder? Thank you :)
Hi! Would you know if Japan gives out 30-day Single Entry visa? I would want to apply for an ME but unfortunately, we were told we would not be able to use/activate a JR Pass. Saw some comments here about the 30-day but not sure if this is ME/SE. Thanks!
I am not aware of the JR Pass and Multiple Entry Visa. But Japan gives 30days multiple entry visa valid for 5 years, which is what I have.
Hi! Is your visa sponsored? Did you specifically request for a multiple entry, 30-day visa?
hello wanderlasss, what category are you in for multiple entry visa for 30 days? I got a single entry for 15 days and I just got back from japan okinawa to visit bf military under sofa. im a student and what are the documents and your reason for multiple entry? please help me i wanna see my bf again this october end of semester, december for holidays, march 2017 for 2nd anniv, and then may 2017 for my bday. he will leave japan next year May for another deployment, should i include that too? thanks much. ill wait for your thoughts. :)
Hi! I am planning to apply again for a Japan visa. The first time was under my cousin’s name and documents so I had no problems as I was a student then. This time, I would be applying for myself but I am not sure if my documents would be sufficient. I started working Aug. 2015 and although I have my ITR/Form 2316 copy from our company given out last week, I am not sure if that would be allowed since it’s still not BIR-stamped? I plan to go on March 15 (it’s quite sudden too) to accompany my cousin.
