It’s easier than ever for Filipinos to apply for Japanese tourist visa. Anyone who applied with proper documents is almost guaranteed entry. And all those who have previously been to Japan is granted 5 years visa. But this year there’s an additional form to fill up to request for multiple visa, so don’t forget
Japan Visa Application Procedure
Since July 30, 2007, Japan tourist visa application can only be made through an accredited travel agencies by the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines. The travel agency will check your requirements before submitting them on your behalf. This is actually more efficient because it saves a lot of time for both the applicant and the embassy. However, time is money, so while the Japan visa remains free, the travel agencies will be charging processing fee. It varies per agency

Hi..bkit yung iba 4days lng ung process bkit ang bilis pero ung iba nmn sbrang tgal?
Hello Wanderlas.
I have a question, my aunt plan she will invite me with my mother. But the case is i have my cousin’s before she’s invited before last 2007 but she did not return or (bilog), my question is is there possibility that our visa’s got deny? Thank you and hoping your reply.
Hi! I find your post very useful :-)
I just have something to clarify – when it comes to processing time, is it true that you have to process visa 3 months before your travel dates? And any time earlier than that is not advisable?
Looking forward to your reply. Thanks!
hi Krizza,
i think its atleast 1month before your travel dates. in my case i just applied my visa second week of july, then I got it already last week july 22. And my travel is on July 31 already. So its just 2-3weeks before may travel date :)
Hi wanderlass, is it mandatory to submit Income tax return? all I have is bank statement and certificate but I have no ITR.
Hello just wondering yung friend ko kasi may japan visa na however nakalagay sa visa valid on march 16,2016 valid until june 18,2016 ? May chance paba na maka alis siya? Or ma renew niya yung visa niya kahit hindi niya nagamit? ?
Hi Wanderlass… Just a question on validity you mentioned that its 3mos. I plan to go there this december. Id like to apply as early as september sana because I plan to resign din. para lang sana may ITR pa ako… Im thinking pasok sana sya dun sa 3mos validity but the thing is january for yung return flight namin which makes the return flight beyond the 3mos period. do you think it will still get approved?
Hi. If I were you, mag apply ka ng last week of September. So it will expire sa last week ng january para pumasok sa target travel date mo. Kasi you have to go back here before the visa expires.
Hi! I’d like to ask if its not necessary ba na may ticket na even before ma grant yung visa? Kasi in te application form they need the iterenary, the departure etc. pwede bang tentative or kahit ano nalang po yung ilagay dun if ever yung makukuha mong package is hindi exact sa nilagay sa application form or yung date of departure is different? Thanks much po!
no need
Hi, question lang po, im a visit visa holder (90days stay in japan) since i have my guarantor, do i need po ba to have show money for immigration purposes? or i will just present photo copy of my papers from japan? hoping for your response. thank you :)
hello guys again. i just got back from japan a week ago. im planning to go back there again this august under sofa status. can i just apply for a multiple entry? I dont quite understand what multiple entry visa requirements are. the website confuses me. :( I need help please. thank you.
What visa you have applied before? Tourist without guarantor ba? As far as I know, ma mataas ang chance na maapproved ng multiple if second entry mo na, or you have more than enough money in your bank account.
Hi Hansen. Thanks for the reply. First application ko is under sofa status same guarantor young bf ko sa militar. Hehe. Thanks
I dont have any idea sa sofa status na sinasabi mo eh. Nice to know that, I think ang bigger factor na tinitngnan nila isa your financial capacity para mabigyan ng multiple entry talaga. So malaking bagay amg bank cert sa pag apply ng multiple entry. But this is only my idea.
Hi Ms. Military, my bf is stationed in Okinawa and he’s planning to fly me out to oki, ask ko lang, did your bf sent you his w-2? Aside from the guarantee letter and statement of service. Tnx!
Hi aki. Uu need ung w-2 and 1040a nya. Hehe. Goodluck
Yea I already spoke to a travel agent yesterday and I was told that my bf can black out his ss# with a pentel pen. Anyway, thank you!
Hi! Is it better to buy plane tickets first or get visa? I wonder.
Get your visa first. They are not requiring plane tickets. Agencies are encouraging everyone not to book a plane ticket yet unless they have the visa on hand already.
Hello! I have been in Japan last year. I appliee for tourist visa without guarantor. I stayed there for 14days. Now, I am planning to go back, but now with my daughter, she’s turning 3months. Anyone here experience to apply visa for an infant or a kid? How was it? Thank you.
Hi guys. Very nice article. :)
Can anyone please help me with my concern? I have a US Air Force boyfriend in Okinawa Japan and he is my guarantor and everything. He recently just got his divorce papers finalized this March 2016 but we have been together for 1 year now. I’m thinking would this mess with the Consulate’s head? Another problem is his Statement of Service doesn’t have his commander’s signature so what we did was he wrote an email with his electronic signature and we attached that to the statement of service. I am a first time traveler and a college student, I have no proof of employment which serves as a strong tie in the Philippines. I have been feeling anxious over the last few days. I really wanna see him for only 15 days. Do you guys think I might get approved? We didn’t submit his bank certificate too only his ITR. Would that suffice? Thanks. :)
same here im planing to bring my son with me this comming september ive been to japan last april-may :)
How old is your son? I applied for tourist visa before without guarantor. My daughter is 4month old now. I am planning to travel this yr. Only the two of us.
