It’s easier than ever for Filipinos to apply for Japanese tourist visa. Anyone who applied with proper documents is almost guaranteed entry. And all those who have previously been to Japan is granted 5 years visa. But this year there’s an additional form to fill up to request for multiple visa, so don’t forget
Japan Visa Application Procedure
Since July 30, 2007, Japan tourist visa application can only be made through an accredited travel agencies by the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines. The travel agency will check your requirements before submitting them on your behalf. This is actually more efficient because it saves a lot of time for both the applicant and the embassy. However, time is money, so while the Japan visa remains free, the travel agencies will be charging processing fee. It varies per agency

Hi po ask ko lang po i have my guarantor and i applied as visiting friends last week after 3 day the result was granted and i booked already plane ticket round trip sa monday na po alis ko… Ask ko lng po if may posibildad po ba na ma offload ako sa immigration? Maliban po sa passport visa and itinerary flight schedule ano pa po kailangan ko dalhin? May guarantor po ako friend ko po
Thank you
hi po ask ko lang kung san ka nag apply and ilang days ka po dun?
my visa is granted f0r 90 days i am a nikkei jin 4th generati0n
Hi, what happened to you in Naia? Ano dinala mo sa airport?
Hi, when I read that part about not getting the 90 days visa. My boyfriend’s mom and sister actually lives in Kyoto and they dreadfully miss him. Unfortunately, my boyfriend applied for the first time, immediately he was denied. We don’t know the real reason yet but probably it was because he wrote 90 days on his form (with the question “how many days do you intend to stay?”), on the other hand the not so detailed itinerary (which his mom wrote) had only 15 slots which means 15 days.
when we submitted the requirements, the staff in the agency checked everything and only said “i think it’s okay sir if walang income tax certificate since nag submit na mother mo ng tax certificate” and proceeded to mail all the papers.
the visa application is so confusing. my boyfriend is saddened he doesnt get to spend time with his family in Japan (he’s 26 yrs old).
maybe 90 days is really a bad idea?
wait i meant *income certificate
it’s like a lottery. kasi I actually know people who got approved 90 days.
hi, i think your boyfriends mom has to submit additional papers like updated bank book copy of her bank account . my mom has been in and out of japan for 5 times already and she always stays for 90 days here. they actually told us here that the income of your guarantor is the most important thing to have your bf visa approve.
the problem is not the number of days…it is the TAX that Japan is up to…everything here is TAX…Income Tax…Residence Tax…etc…no Tax no Visa…
good day i am a filipina and married to a japanese national a few months ago only here in the philippines but he didn’nt want to register our married in the japan city hall or in japanese embassy or in his koseki tohon because of the taxes he was going and needed to pay after we get married the question is even if my husband didnt file or register our married in japan embassy is it possible for me to go to japan even my husband does’nt pay his taxes?
i hoping for your response ..thanks and may the god bless you always!
Hi Mazumi,
I am a filipina and my husband is a japanese. if you want to come to japan with a tourist visa , i think as long as you have the funds and req. you cant be denied. but if you want to come with a spouse visa then your husband has to register your marriage in japanese embassy or in a city office here in japan a few months after your marriage. failure to register means your marriage is not binding in japan. your name has to be in his koseki-tohon.
Hi, im relly planning to go to japan just before this year ends. I just resigned from my previous job, i still have my itr and of course i have my bank cert. I will visit japan with no guarantor though my sis lives there for 10 yrs now, she married a japinoy. My question is do you think i will be grant a 40-90 days visa if i will apply with no guarantor?! I can have my sister as my guarantor however, as per my sis she is not paying any tax in japan since her salary doesnt mean the requirements as tax paying employee. So she’s “zero-tax” so is it still possible for my sis to be my guarantor? Or you cannot be a guarantor if ur not tax payer. Any thoughts plz…
you can ask your sister’s husband to be your guarantor..they are already married, so the husband is now your brother in law..that’s what i did and i got my visa..Hope it’ll help you
Paano yun ngresigned ka? Baka kasi mgduda sila sau. MAs gusto Nila ung more attached s pinas like ung my work. Ako nga rn e nhhrapan kasi ngresigned nrn ako
hi,kaye if yous sisters husband paying taxes he can be a guarantor, paying taxes in japan is one of a reason why other can get japan visa,as of me im a single mother ,i started paying for only a months then i invited my MOM and my brother they got a visa for only 1months.Ask ur sis.try and try u will get it.goodluck

Hi,
We are in the process of completing our requirements for the visa. We just found out though that I have two registrations with NSO under two completely different names so I’m unable to get the birth certificate that matches my passport and all my ids etc. We are not aware of the first registration which has me carrying the name of my absentee father hence all my life i carried another name and my mom’s surname (I’m proud to say I was raised by a single mom). We’ve consulted a lawyer already, and I will need to have the first registration canceled which takes about a year since it’ll need to thru the courts. Since our trip is in November already, here are the items I plan to submit:
– passport
– birth certificate from NSO dated 2011 with receipt (late registered – I was born 1983 and was late registered 1988).
– school form 137
– baptismal certificate
– all govt ids, etc that will show that I did not use any other name in my lifetime .
– letter explaining the reason behind the NSO issue which will hopefully include a petition already to cancel my first registration
– ITR
– COE
– bank certificates (substantial amount from several banks if needed)
– Sunlife MF investment
– Manulife Investment
– Philamlife Investment
– property title
– plane tickets (piso fare, hehe)
Have traveled to several Asian countries already, HK, Sing, Taipei, Cambodia, Vietnam, Korea, Mumbai, Bangkok and Malaysia.
Any thoughts on the items I plan on submitting? Really worried with the NSO issue, funny enough I can’t seem to find anyone similar to my situation.
We are traveling as a famjly as well, my mom, sister and GF. It’ my graduation gift to my sister who’s graduating in a couple of weeks.
Hope someone can help..
Thank you.
Hi tortkeeper, same situation with my mom. Can’t decide whether to push through with our trip this jan 2015 or not. Any updates on your case? Were you able to secure a japan visa? Thanks!
