Wonder what to pack for a round the world trip for women? Certainly not 365 shirts. Here’s a list of what I brought with me and a video on how I stuff them all in a bag. Do you think it’s too much? Not? See how I fit them all in my Eagle Creek Switchback Max 25.
Everyone advised me to take less. And I really tried and was quite proud when I weighed my bag and it says 12kilos. You have to see to believe how much stuff I need in my daily life (in my room) and how I’ve reduced it to these few pieces in my bag is truly amazing, if I have to say so myself.
I’ve been 2 weeks on the road and proud to say I’ve not added another pound to it yet. If anything, I reduced it by giving away a book I thought I’ll read but never did. And lost a few small items along the way.
I regret bringing the wide angle lens for my DSLR since I’ve not used it since I arrived (that’s all). I’m dying for someone to take home the camera bag and the UWA lens for me. Philibert? Vangie?!
Disclosure: Eagle Creek and Columbia sponsored their items mentioned in this post. Thank you. ♥♥♥
I love how that bag is both a backpack and a rolling suitcase. And I’m pretty impressed you didn’t have to sit on the bag to close it! That usually happens to me for a big trip so I will have to apply your less is more rule.
Thanks for including this post in your wrap-up for this week!:)
how much is that Switchback?? its nice… :)
It’s about USD350 for the Max25 and less for the Max22.
Yes, need WA in Petra :o)
You can get some interesting shots along the alley in vertical orientation.
Where will you be in September?
Need to know if you are coming to Seychelles so there is space for you, and collecting you from the airport. 5-17th would be Perfect.
I will be in France in September I think, or around that area. I may have to let go of Seychelles for now. I can come next year and organize a big group. :)
Wow, that’s what you call efficient packing! Makes me wanna get an Eagle Creek bag as well and those pouches for organising stuff :)
Great packing list! Pretty much what we also pack when we travel but heavy on the camera gear. I bring 4x-5x the amount of camera gear you have and bring less clothes haha.
Please update us along the way what other items you think you ‘missed’ in your RTW trip!
I hate my extra lens already. Hehe. Maybe ill use it in Petra. :) i’m 2 weeks on the road already, I don’t think there’s something I missed. This is it! :)
What went into the daypack of the Switchback? I’ve been drooling over this one, is it 22 or 25?
I sooo want the Switchback Max 22 sana, pero i dont know if itll be allowed as carry on kung kasama yung daypack. kasi parang sagad na yung main one to airline carryon dimensions.
I have the Max25, check in baggage. Video label is wrong, sorry, will take too long to edit n publish again. Hehe. Day pack i put laptop n jacket. Thats Y i want to give up my camera bag bec i can fit my dslr there w/o extra lens. N hand carry it. Max22 is carryon. U can carry backpack on ur back goin to plane but attach to rolling bag when walking the street. go Get it!
aw you can put *comments* on YouTube where your mistake is, like a red dialogue box
Efficient light packing there since I know some women who’d pack 5 pairs of bikini on a 4 day Boracay holiday hehe
I do that too normally. Lol.
uhmmm, that’s me Marky haha.
this might be a funny question, what shampoo bar did you bring? haha
You have to watch the video to find out about the shampoo bar! :)
you are sooooo structured and put together. i envy that you pack what you need. me i pack “what i think i will need” so more often than not, i over pack. well…. not so much. i just always want to have an extra wherever i go. for those “just in case” events.
grabe!!!! how you can travel light talaga!!! idol <3 and you didn't forget to pack for a dive :') Aqaba awaits *LOL*
nevertheless, no fear for lost things, you can always buy them whenever and wherever. enjoy your round the world trip…. will follow your blogs (",) God bless you ☀☁☂☃
I have been mentally packing for this trip for months as I hate packing, like really, even for a weekend trip, I will be up all night. and since I cannot afford so much to forget things, I had to do what i had to do, plan it. i’m quite proud of it. thanks u. :)
Where’s the make-up? LOL I agree less is more but it’s so hard to choose. Plus if you think about it if your clothes get old and torn (which I hear happens all the time) you can always buy cheap ones on the road.
I actually brought make-ups but haven’t used it since I started. But I imagine I will be in London when my friends there are fashionable and fabulous. Let me add it on the list, I forgot. haha.
Yay! I forgot to mention that the point it book is awesome! Definitely thinking of switching to that bag too.
